Fake news has been around for decades, however in the past two years, main stream media has been caught pushing false stories, manipulating facts, publishing misleading polls and colluding with Hillary Clinton’s campaign for President of the United States which she lost to Donald Trump. (Wikileaks.org – Podesta Emails and DNC Emails)
Sunday, CBS 60 Minutes “journalist” Scott Pelley tried to manipulate the public again with an irresponsible and less than truthful segment on Fake News. Pelley’s report started with a statement they would be focusing on people they deemed proponents of “fake news,” which included Mike Cernovich, popular writer, blogger and citizen journalists. (CBSNews.com – What’s Fake News? 60 Minutes Producers Investigate)
Before interviewing his subjects, Pelley decided to define the media’s definition of fake news which blatantly proved the media has no idea what fake news is. His “authorities” said fake news from a political standpoint is what politicians don’t like, implying President Trump says any negative stories about him are “fake news.” However, this is far from the truth.
In fact, fake news is any story published as fact which is proven false. If you don’t know what that means, tune in to Rachel Maddow any evening and you’ll see night after night, a person touted as a reporter who makes up stories and pushes them as fact. Her latest stunts include trying to tie President Trump to Russia and she’s not having any luck. She’s become the laughing stock of nightly news because she and her network, MSNBC won’t back down from pushing an entire scenario that has never produced any facts pointing towards a Russian tie to the Trump Campaign.
Even after saying this:
“What we are talking about are stories that are fabricated out of thin air,” says 60 Minutes producer Guy Campanile. “By most measures, deliberately, and by any definition, that’s a lie,”
Pelley and his associates completely ignored this statement, pretending as if they themselves weren’t included in emails from John Podesta, Clinton’s campaign manager and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) which proved collusion.
After grossly misleading the public on the subject of fake news and what it is, Pelley turned to Jestin Coler, a self proclaimed fake news creator writing stories for sites like National Report and Denver Guardian. He said he does it because it’s “fun.”
Turning to Cernovich, Pelley introduced him as a person who attracts a following of people who have no desire to know the facts preferring baseless stories which are made up. Interestingly, he tried putting Cernovich on the spot with a few headlines he’d published including one about Clinton possibly having Parkinson’s Disease and another about PizzaGate tying Clinton to a child sex trafficking ring out of Washington, D.C.
If 60 Minutes and Pelley thought they had credibility on either of these issues, they are mistaken. They failed to ask legitimate questions on either subject and do a report, fact check on their own, opting instead to side with the Clinton campaign on both of these stories. Cernovich appropriately asked, “Why would you believe the Clinton Campaign?”
Had they done their homework, they would have noted Wikileaks and Julian Assange exposed both of these subjects through the Podesta and DNC emails, published word for word on their site, never disputed by any on the left, only expressing outrage people were able to read their corruption for themselves. They also would have noted Wikileaks has a 100% track record of being truthful, unlike Clinton who’s track record on the truth meter is pushing around 5-30% depending on which “poll” you use.
Time after time, CNN, MSNBC, New York Times, Washington Post and others have been caught publishing fake stories and fake facts any simpleton can challenge. Some of these are the racist angle of President Trump’s entire campaign and the “Russians did it” scenario which has been proven false through various agencies both governmental and private. Still, every hour on the hour we listen to Democrats and a handful of Conservatives, pushing this false narrative backed up by corrupt media to distract from real issues.
Where are the real journalists who use facts, report straight news and stop giving opinions or trying to make ties to things which don’t exist? These reporters barely exist and most of them were fired by big news agencies because they were blowing the whistle on the collusion and corruption within the media industry. People like Pelley don’t want to admit the heavily edited content and coerced stories they stand behind. They won’t acknowledge the fake headlines or their own collusion.
The conclusion to the CBS 60 Minutes Fake News story, is they just made a segment of more fake news which made them look even worse than they already do.
NOTE TO SCOTT AND HIS PRODUCERS: No, we don’t believe you anymore. We’re able to find out the truth ourselves, check our facts and we don’t need a two-bit washed up “fake news” pusher to tell us what reality is. We live it every day, unlike you.
